Just wanted to give you an update on how things are going at our end.
As you’re aware, Governor Polis has extended the “stay-at-home” order until April 26, but the ADA has recommended that all dental offices in the nation remain closed until April 30. I’m sure as it gets closer to the end of the month, Governor Polis will let us know what action we are allowed to take. I know most of you are just dying to get in here to see us (people love the dentist, right?!) so if you’re frustrated we understand. Our dental profession lives seem to be changing, at times, every 4-8 hours so we must be flexible.
We all hope that you are doing well during this time. To pass the time, I’ve been working some odd jobs, and it has made me aware of how much I love being a dentist. I miss being able to hear how things are going in your life and working with my team to serve you. If something comes up for you please let me know if there is anything I could drop off for you…groceries, toilet paper, etc.
On Friday, we received an email from the Colorado Dental Association saying there has been an increase in dental emergencies being seen in the hospital ERs. The government has put very strict restrictions on which patients we can see, but please do not hesitate to give me a call if you are experiencing a dental situation that you are concerned about. If you have any family or friends that aren’t able to connect with their dentist please let them know they can call us. All phone calls to the office are being forwarded to my personal cell phone.
We hope this won’t be much longer before we can safely return back to some of our activities. When we see you at your next visit we look forward to hearing if you have discovered any fun hobbies during this time. Today, my sister-in-law is trying to make a good Midwesterner out of me and I made my mom’s caramel rolls for the first time!
