Nitrous Oxide
If you are worried about your dental procedure, we can recommend nitrous oxide sedation. Also known as “laughing gas,” this form of conscious sedation will help you relax and feel comfortable while in the dental chair.
Nitrous oxide works quickly. It is administered through inhalation, and a small mask is placed over your nose. You’ll be awake throughout the procedure and once it’s done, the nitrous oxide will leave your body within minutes. You’ll be able to drive yourself home or to the office.
Nitrous oxide gas is safe and effective in managing dental anxiety. However, it should not be used by pregnant women or by any individual with respiratory problems.
